- Certification: ASTM F2040 & CE EN1078 (EU)
- 1 year limited warranty
Product Description A light, durable helmet with top-level performance, progressive styling and technical features designed to perform in all conditions. Three ventilation settings provide comfort and air flow at your fingertips. With an integrated audio system which features speakers built into the ear pads you will look and sound great all day. Floating big spins in deep backcountry powder. Sliding stairs and rails everywhere. Carving lines down faces that don’t even have names yet. The future is happening now, and chances are the Fuse is there.Product Description This lightweight, durable ski/snowboard helmet permits temperature to be adjusted inside while on the slope with a slide on the outside providing three settings to regulate air flow through the helmet’s 16 vents. The helmet’s in-mold construction a tough polycarbonate outer shell fused to an EPS (expanded polystyrene) liner reinforces both materials, allowing for larger vents and less material and resulting in a light, cool helmet. Lightweight foam vent plugs snap in for a tight seal against chill. Removable, injection-molded earflaps lock directly into the liner, which can be removed for washing. A wide-angle cut creates a gapless fit with goggles and doesn’t compromise peripheral vision. A security loop and Giro’s Goggle Notch lock goggles to helmet. Depending on size, it weighs approximately 14.5 ounces.
About Giro Working late nights in his garage, designer/bike racer Jim Gentes created the first lightweight adult cycling helmet in 1985. Friends at NASA helped tune the final helmet shape and vent placement, and the result was the Giro Prolight, a helmet that was better looking than traditional designs while offering a superior fit and still met the industry’s toughest safety standards. Plus, it was half the weight of traditional helmets. Since then, Giro has advanced its helmets, many of which have set the standards for styling, function, and innovation for progressive, performance-oriented riders on dirt, pavement, and snow. Giro helmets are worn by millions of riders, cyclists, skiers, and snowboarders around the world. Young-bloods and old-timers; hard-cores, heshers, and hipsters; rookies, experts, and a few regular Joes too–in fact, pretty much anyone that appreciates superior fit and function, cutting edge styling, and the very best ideas you get in a helmet.
