The Seirus Innovation Comfort Masque is one of those essential accessories that it’s easy to forget you need. This guy will keep you a little warmer for your winter sports. It could also be used by those who go camping, hunting or hiking in the fall and winter months.

I personally use mine most while skiing and snowboarding. Not everybody is bothered by cold temperatures while racing down a mountain, but I would guess most people are. I don’t mind the cold in general, but when I’m going down a mountain at 30 miles an hour the cold can give the phrase *wind-chill* a whole new level of meaning. This mask does the trick. It wears easily and attaches with velcro in the back.

The only real criticism I have of this mask is pretty universal as compared to others I have tried over the years. It seems to slide down or out of position a lot so I find myself readjusting it. It’s also not the most comfortable mask I’ve ever had and it does make it harder to breath. But for the price, those qualms are relatively minor. Like I said, even with those things in mind it’s still a great product. This is one of those things that really comes in handy for winter.

Recently I decided to give this a try while shovelling out from a storm. It’s nice to stay just a little bit warmer when there is sleet and freezing rain blowing sideways when you are trying to clean out your driveway. It’s not something I would wear all the time for that use because I like to be able to breath a little easier. This does cover the mouth a little bit more than I would like. But for really cold days or wet conditions it will definitely do in a pinch.

In terms of sizing it does tend to run a little small. I like to wear mine snug but not tight, but suffice it to say most men will need the large size. The medium size is really for smaller than average men, women or teenagers. I didn’t mind making that mistake because it’s nice to have an extra on hand for the event I take a ski trip with some newbies at some point this season.

These can be washed in a machine, but I would definitely not put them in a dryer. I haven’t tried it with this one but I did end the life of a previous mask that way. The safest bet is to hand wash and hang to air-dry.

Overall good product for the price. If you don’t have one, get one now so you have it on hand for when you need it.

    Enjoy.

Having lived in Minnesota all my life, I wish I had one of these from the very beginning. I’ve worn this mask in -20 F temperatures and I don’t even notice the cold. It allows you to breathe while avoiding the snot buildup that is so common with an ordinary scarf. Buy this and you will have no more chapped and windburned cheeks!

The mask secures with velcro on the back of your neck. If you have long hair, you might find that it’s easy to get it caught in the velcro.

It also makes you look like a ninja but I consider that a good thing.

I think that this is a great product for the price, I just constantly find myself adjust it. Maybe it’s because I just I’m not used to having this thing on my face. But otherwise, it is windproof, and water proof. Great buy seeing as though I live in Chicago where the winter is no joke sometimes.

Great product–I use them for cycling and my windburnt face thanks you.

Had to buy another because my wife kept stealing mine to use on her bike.

    Note that:

-Mask size does matter, so trying them on is a necessity.

-The holes are restrictive enough to airflow that you may have to remove it when doing a major ascent.

-This version doesn’t protect the neck.
