Kickin up a spray – My Water Skiing video
Posted by Blogmaster in Skiing Videos, tags: Kickin, Skiing, spray, video, Water
I had a really good run water skiing (slalom) on Webster Lake this past weekend. My brother Jon did a good video of it. 2 years after a torn pectoral tendon I’m fully recovered. BTW, my uncle Bill, who is 63 years old, also ski’d that morning. His video is here – www.youtube.com – Dave

wow that is a long rope, you need to shoten that thing
The rope is way too long! cut 20 feet off that thing.
like jobob12334 said resist the boat until you are crossing the far wake at which point you should start initiating your turn. start trying to use 1 hand through the start and middle of the turn until your shoulders are square to the boat and your ski is heading for the wake, then grab on with both hands and resist until far wake and repeat. once you get the tecnique the fluidness will follow…dont be affraid to fall
great job, just one suggestion is to cut more while your crossing the wake and you’ll be fine
Dude, You’ve got some great water to ski on – smooth. some suggestions would be to shorten the rope and ask the driver to go straight for as long as possible, not sweeping turns around the bay. Also, based on the the way the ski is sinking a little in the turns, you could prbably go alittle faster – this will keep the turns more fluid and speed you up over the wake
