I bought this product after reading the reviews. Well maybe it works good for basic usage, but I work with landscaping and snow removal. This product will not dry your boots off in time to get to work after you have soaked them. I thought it worked great when I would get home from work and my boots would be dry but I was doing work on a pond and had to get in the pond, so my boats where soaked. I put my boots on it at 6pm and tried to put my boots back on at 6am the next morning and they were still wet. Really wet in the heal……..Don’t buy this product if you are depending on it…..

DryGuy Thermanator Boot and Shoe Dryer I bought it so I could bring it for my ski trips. It is portable and worked great. The wet boots got dried in a few hours. I also used it to dry gloves.

This drying rack is a nice thing to have. It keeps our shoes and boots warm and dry. Even in dry weather, it’s nice to store shoes you wear a lot on this rack. It drives out the perspiration of daily wear. We keep it on all the time.
Pros:
Sturdy, industrial feel. This is not made out of curtain-rod gauge tubular steel, this is thick.
Safe. Does not get very hot, no danger of fire or damage to shoes.
Low power usage.
Wall mountable. I think the best option, takes up less space and no worries of tip-over.
Long holding racks. About 10 inches long, easily holding long rubber boots.
No noise.
No moving parts to break down.
No locker-room smell.
Can be used with gloves and hats.
Cons:
Takes a long time to dry out very wet items, especially if it is in a cold room. This could be a problem if you are in a hurry.
Only four racks, one unit might not be enough for a family because it can take a long time to dry. You need to make it a habit to put another pair on rack when you take a pair off so it will always be drying.

we got one of these last winter to warm shoes/boots for cold winter mornings and to dry them out after snowy activities. but it also works really well for the same reasons on gloves/mittens, so we might have to get another one this winter so that we can each have our own for all of our limb coverings…

I read reviews for several shoe/boot dryers. I picked this particular one because of the reviewer that said that SOME SHOE DRYERS ( with fans ) made the room smell bad & are noisy.
That, and I like the fact that there are no moving parts to break down.
I tend to get sidetracked picking up the newspaper from the driveway in the morning & stop along the way to do a little gardening.
By the time I finish watering, weeding,& digging my slippers are soaked. They smell “sheepy” & take forever to dry out.
Since buying the Dry Guy I have no more soggy slippers.
I keep the Dry Guy in my bedroom closet (I have an outlet in there) with
two pair of uggs so I have warm & toasty dry slippers at all times. I’ve kept the Dry Guy heating for long periods of time and it does not over-heat. I LOVE,LOVE, LOVE IT!!!! It is perfect.
HIGHLY RECOMMENED!
