Because gloves take a beating in the mountains, Black Diamond gave the Guide Glove a Pittards goatskin leather palm and capped fingers with Kevlar-reinforced stitching. Not only does this add years to your glove’s life, it also provides excellent grip on a frozen ice axe.

Great glove, fits well, warm and waterproof. Why not 5 stars? Could use tethers, like most expensive gloves have, so that you won’t lose them on the lift if you slip them off (I made my own) and it would be nice to have a strap on the back to attach a goggle wipe or handkerchief. (You can do this on the cheap with a large rubber band.)
